Lygaria and Agia Pelagia beach
The Lygaria beach is located 20 kilometers west of Heraklion. The bay is closed and well protected from the winds blowing in the region. Village got its name from the old monastery Panagia Lygariani.
The beach is very beautiful with coarse sand and turquoise waters, while the small boats create magic scenery. It is well organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, water sports, a diving school, beach bars, and restaurants.
Agia Pelagia is located 22 km west of Heraklion. The village is an awe-inspiring example of the beauty of Cretan Nature and it’s almost impossible to resist taking a closer look..
There is no intense night life in Agia Pelagia. There is a good selection of bars and cafes to enjoy your favorite drink, but this village is mainly for people interested in calm and relaxing sea-side holidays. In the night, when the sounds of the day fade away and the soft purl of the sea becomes more vocal, Agia Pelagia is even more enchanting.
